Our story

Excellence Plumbing & Gas Ltd was founded by Steve in 2013, who’s ambition was to run his own plumbing and heating company, being part of an exciting and active industry. Upon leaving school, Steve successfully completed an Advanced Apprenticeship and NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in mechanical engineering services (plumbing). He also gained additional water regulation, unvented hot water storage system and gas safe qualifications, being a member of the Chartered Institute for Plumbing, Heating and Engineering. Steve has always enjoyed working with and helping people, making a difference, and thriving on progression. It is through his passion, leadership, courage, and determination that Excellence Plumbing & Gas exists as it does today.

When started, the company consisted of Steve and his partner Lisa, working from one van and a home office, completing small residential jobs. Excellence Plumbing & Gas has now grown to fifteen staff, with ten sign written vans operating out of a business centre complex. We continue to undertake a range of domestic works, including larger scale projects, but have also embarked on significant commercial ventures being approved contractors for numerous building companies, and Haringey Council, which we are extremely proud of. The emphasis of family has continued for us, with six members presently employed in a variety of positions, together with a team of dedicated long-term engineers.
